How we rank
Rankings are decided by our methodology, not by commercial deals. Here is the exact rubric we use, the role affiliate revenue plays, and our editorial independence statement.
Rankings are set by editorial staff. No operator can pay to change a score or ranking position.
Every vertical uses a fixed weighting rubric applied uniformly to each entry.
Affiliate revenue funds the site. We disclose it on every page and never let it move rankings.

How affiliate links work
Most operators we cover run affiliate programs. When you sign up through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no cost to you.
What that means for rankings: nothing. The editorial team scores every operator against the same rubric before any commercial conversation happens. An operator with a higher-paying affiliate program does not get a better score, and one with no program at all is not penalized.
What that means for coverage: we may prioritize reviewing operators that have programs because that is what funds the site. If a major operator does not have a program, we still cover them when they matter, we just cannot get paid for referrals to them.
Editorial independence
Reviewers are not permitted to hold undisclosed positions in operators they cover. All rankings are approved by an editor who was not involved in the scoring pass.
If an operator asks us to change a review or ranking, we say no. If we get it wrong, we correct it publicly with a dated update note.
